Gardens and Libraries mixed in

I have always wanted to go to the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens.  Luckily, Dawnielle asked if we could go there while she was visiting.  How often have I said "No" to my kids?  I know some of them might say "always".  Derek and Joel were able to go with us.  It was warm, but it was so worth it.

We spent most of our time in The Desert Garden.

They were all just starting to bloom.  It should be beautiful in the coming weeks.

It's funning seeing the beautiful flowers that come out on these dangerous cactus.

There are lots of beautiful sculptures on the grounds.

Lakes and ponds,

with all kinds of critters.

It's nice to get a picture once in a while with the
                 love of my life.

            Can you believe these bamboo trees!?!

It was a fun day.  You really could spend a day in each of the gardens, 

not to mention the library and museum.  

I'm happy spending time with nature.
